Binge eating is accompanied by repeated inappropriate compensatory behaviours aimed at preventing weight gain (e.g., self-induced vomiting, misuse of laxatives or enemas, strenuous exercise). The individual is not significantly underweight and therefore does not meet the diagnostic requirements of Anorexia Nervosa. |
