An acute, severe multi-systemic allergic reaction that may include itching, hives, angioedema, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, breathing and swallowing difficulties, and hypotension which may progress to shock and death.

Clinically, it presents with breathing difficulty, dizziness, hypotension, cyanosis and loss of consciousness and may lead to death.
